The IPG Meta Ban is a mineral control and stain remover pool chemical containing sodium bisulphate. The Meta Ban is specifically designed to help quickly remove water discolouration and any stains on your liner that have been caused by the presence of various metals like copper, manganese, and iron. IPG Meta Ban is safe to use to remove stains on any type of pool liner.

Directions: 

  1. Adjust pool water pH levels, so they read between 6.8 and 7.2, and allow for chlorine levels to settle to below 2ppm.
  2. If using IPG Meta Ban for pool discolouration, pour 150g of Meta Ban per 10,00L of swimming pool water. 
  3. For stain removal, see step 3. 
  4. Adding 150g of Meta Ban for every 10,000L of pool water into a bucket. Pour mixture along poolsides and where staining is most prevalent. Where heavy staining appears, directly brush the area with the solution.
  5. Severe liner stains may require a solution mix of 300g of Meta Ban Per 10,000L of pool water. 
  6. Run filtration system on circulation for 24 hours straight. 
  7. Following the allotted 24 hour circulation period, ensure pH water levels are around 7.2 - 7.8 and alkalinity measures around 80-120 ppm.
  8. Avoid superchlorination for a minimum of 72 hours. 
  9. To prevent the reoccurance of pool staining or discolouration in the water, use the included Stain Prevent on a weekly basis.
